A composition of 10 unique pieces created directly from utility covers in Philadelphia between 2013 and 2017. This fine art print is on Etching Paper using Archival Pigment inks and part of a limited edition series of 20.
Since 2007, I've been on an ongoing mission to seek out historic and symbolic street metal throughout the U.S. while capturing their nostalgia and beauty through ink prints on canvas. I made the first print in Seattle, but Philly is where I experimented with canvas and textiles which helped the project take shape. I grew up in South Jersey, studied design at Hussian College, and started my career in Philadelphia.
Each print is numbered, signed, comes with pictures of the art being made from the street, and includes some background about the actual iron.
11" x 14" Limited edition series of 20.
